Bikini Might
at Zouk
The Straits Times (Singapore) 3rd June 2003: WHO says bikinis
and trunks are strictly for the beach?
Style Factory will be throwing a big beach party in Zouk tomorrow
which it has renamed, at least for one night, Jiak Kim Beach.
The company, which specialises in party and fashion show productions,
is celebrating its third anniversary.
On the choice
of theme, Mr Hideki Akiyoshi, Style Factory's managing director,
says :"The fashion trend is the surfer look. So I hope to
see lots of bikini babes and hunks in swimming trunks."
For added
incentive, he reveals that 100 free tickets have been set aside
for those he deems are wearing nice and sexy beachwear.
This is the
first time that Zouk has allowed beachwear into the club. To complement
the skimpy outfits, the dance floor will be converted into a surfers
paradise with about two tonnes of sand.
There will
be different "islands", each featuring different music.
The island of Koh samui, for example, will play hard techno.
Party-goers can also expect activities such as free massages,
i nuovi makeovers and percussion drum lessons.
Other freebies
include specially designed tank tops for the first 200 guests,
free anchor beer for the first 300 guests and free MAC lip gloss
for the first 100.
The highlight
of the night will be a fashion show where celebrities and national
athletes like swimmer Mark Chay and Gary Tan will take to the
runway and show off some swimwear specially flown from Japan.
The swimwear will be available for sale
at newurbanmale.com
at the Heeren.
Those who like showing up fashionably late should have second
thoughts.
Says Mr Akiyoshi:
"Everytime we throw a party, there is always a long queue,
so it is best you come down early." - Melissa Lwee
